Oh ye of little faith

So, the consensus among my in-person friends is that I am indeed completely crazy and need to temper my NaNo goals, either by dropping one of the projects, or revising my goal 50,000 words total rather than in each project.

Considering that I'm still gleeful about these goals (even if I am having a little difficulty getting the stories moving) I feel this is a sad reflection on their opinion of me. If I were running about with a harried look on my face, the situation might be different.

While I understand their concern, self-knowledge demands that I set semi-unattainable goals simply because I am incredibly lazy. If the goal is 50,000 words, I know I can do it, but I also know won't exceed it. I'll scrape by on November 30th with just enough to meet the goal.

Yes, I might not make the full 100,000, but if I try, I'll definitely land further ahead.
