This NaNoWriMo thing would be working so much better if I didn't have to take up time with silly things like washing and dressing and feeding myself.
At this moment, I have a total of 6,475. (The split is 3,554 / 2,921 in favour of Twenty Years After.) If I'm really going to finish this crazy double NaNo, I should be at 13, 334.
I accidentally left my laptop at work last night, and so was writing long hand, which slowed me down even more -- but I also believe that was part of why the stories have finally opened up again. (Yay!) Last night / this morning both stories really started to flow, perhaps a bit slowly, but I know where they're going next and I'm excited to get there.
I'm realizing that I can't keep up on both stories day-by-day and stay sane. So I've come up with what I hope will work. I'll write at least the minimum 1,667 (but try for something more like 2,000). Then, on my days off, try to crank out enough to catch back up. Count should be about 5,000 on those day, less depending on how many I can get during the week.
I promise that not all my posts this month will be about NaNo. The next couple of days should bring book reviews.
