Very cool it worked out that way! I think being around people can be very creatively energizing. And being busy (as long as one's schedule isn't completely insane) can focus writing time.

I know what you mean, both about the break from a book you've worked on a long time and the local networking. I love my internet friends, but I'm learning my local writing group is invaluable.
