“Keep it.” He had a new memory - a memory of James, and if he clung to it, it would become as solid and real as the marrow.

This is beautifully done. The flashes of memory are so vivid; I hope Sirius gets the rest of that memory back at some point!

You lightened the mood nicely at the end, too.

Thank you :) I'm deliberately trying to write something more poignant this time, so I'm glad it's working.

Thanks for commenting :)

Oh wow. Until this installment, I didn't really grasp the scope and intent of this series fully. Poor Remus, and poor Sirius. This one's gonna rip my heart out, isn't it?

But beyond that, I loved the amusement value and Marauderness of the memory provided by the marrow. Excellent installment.

Well, I'm hoping for bittersweet rather than sheer angst, but yes, it will be more wistful than the earlier series.

There's something inherently humourous about marrows. I love them ^_^

Thanks for the comment :)

Thank you :) Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been rushed off my feet in rl.

Now this? This is an avenue of UST and unrequited somethings that definitely hasn't been explored enough with this pairing, and I am so glad you're writing this story.

Sorry for getting to this so late; like you, I've been busy with RL. This is a wonderful start, though, and I do hope you have time to continue it; I like the wistfulness of these scenes, Sirius' unquenchable Sirius-ness, Remus' reserve and regret.

It breaks my heart, but there's so, so much hope. Lovely. ♥

Thank you :) I really wanted to tackle something wistful and autumnal and this period is neglected a little.

I'm glad you liked it - thanks for commenting. I won't finish on time, but I will keep at it slowly.
