Prompt: "What could possibly go wrong?"
Universe: Highschool AU
Word Count: 504
Notes: So, back when I was writing Liam's BC, Liam and Rissa had a conversation about pranks during the "share interests" phase. I showed this to Marina, and it ended up evolving (with input from Di and Fire) into a whole universe where Liam, Rissa, Stuart, and Elle all went to high school together, with Rissa (obviously) the ringleader of the group. As far as I know, no one has actually written anything from this AU, but it's what hit me when I was staring at my card last night. So, enjoy. (Also, language warning: this has pissed off Rissa in it.) And thanks to Di, Marina, and Fire for the loan of their sims. :)
"Those no good, low-life, fuckin' assholes..."
Elle hurried after her friend. "It's okay, Rissa. Really."
"It is NOT okay. Fuckers should know better'n to treat you like that."
Elle rubbed the back of her neck. She couldn't say she disagreed with Rissa, but she also wasn't one to rock the boat, and she honestly wasn't sure she wanted to know what Rissa was thinking about doing.
By the time they got outside, Rissa's fury had, if anything, gotten even stronger. Paths opened for her between the myriad students as Elle trailed in her wake, feeling a bit like she was following behind a hurricane. Rissa's expression certainly resembled one.
Elle spotted the guys an instant before they caught sight of Hurricane Rissa. She knew the moment they did because fear flashed across their formerly happy faces. Luckily for them, Rissa was mad at someone else - Elle knew she didn't want to be the target of all that anger, and Stuart and Liam were smart enough to realize that too. The guys glanced at Rissa, at her, and at each other, then cleared off space on the benches for the girls.
"What happened?" Liam asked as soon as they were close enough to speak without yelling.
"Fuckin' assholes on the football team were makin' fun of Dusk and the girls who like it, and were starin' at Elle the whole time. An' Ms. Broke was as fuckin' oblivious as ever."
"Are you alright?" Stuart asked, turning to Elle. "They didn't hurt you?"
"I'm fine, Stuart. It was just talk. No one did anything."
A dark look crossed his face. "That doesn't mean they won't in the future." He turned to Rissa. "I assume you have thoughts on how to make them sorry for saying such things about Ellie?"
"Course. Nobody makes fun of our Elle and gets away with it." Elle blushed, but decided not to say anything. It was clear the guys agreed with Rissa, and nothing she said was going to get through to any of them. Besides...well, they had gone a bit overboard.
"So what's the plan?" Liam asked, leaning in. The others followed suit and Rissa began talking quietly, outlining a detailed plan on how to make the football players sorry for even looking at Elle. It was detailed, it was painful, and it was rather crazy and involved.
When Rissa was finished, she leaned back with a satisfied smile on her face. "What do you think?"
Elle frowned. "Are you sure that isn't a bit much?"
Rissa shook her head. "Hell no. Besides, what could possibly go wrong?"
Elle, Stuart, and Liam exchanged glances. "...Everything?" Elle asked.
"Pfft," Rissa said, waving a hand. "You'll see. They'll be sorry they ever even looked at you."
As Stuart and Liam smiled - they did tend to be very defensive of her - and started helping Rissa refine the plan, Elle shook her head. This was not going to go well, but maybe if she helped it wouldn't end in tears.
...Maybe.
