Went climbing yesterday for the first time in ever. I was wretched, but endorphins are good. My forearms hurt.

I managed to say "Schonfinkling" in both my recitation sections today.

Holy city.

Fell off a wall and sprained my goddamn ankle again. It's not too bad; not as bad as last time, and that was not bad at all, but it's highly irritating.

Christmas was relaxing, and consisted mostly of slow work on this FOOL talk.

Gifts were enjoyable. I appear to have a climbing harness, and will have shoes tomorrow.

Dammit; the IMA climbing wall is closed until next quarter. Grr.

I visited Pittsburgh for Capture the Flag with Stuff.

This involved a long overnight flight while sick, an interesting experience. Upon arriving the Holy City, I slept until almost the game, missing most (but not all!) of Randall Munroe's talk. In theory, I should be able to climb again tomorrow. In practice, I am not sure my ankle actually will hold up under stress. We will see tomorrow.

I will be visiting the holy city for CtF and concomitant revelries. Adventures will abound.

Last night, Jess, Abe and I made delicious chili.

I have been climbing stupid lots. It is disconcerting how much noticeably better shape I am in than seven days ago. On the minus side, I did something horrible to the muscles in my left arm.
