Some several weeks ago, Lea came to visit! We had an enormous breakfast, visited the library, visited other buildings, drank a lot of hot chocolate, hung around in parks, had sushi, went to a fancy bar with Abe (where Lea had a lovely alcohol free drink and I had a MONKEY GLAND! Incidentally, how was the MONKEY GLAND? I've had gin sours a few times, and the citrus combination always struck me as slightly off, but I know MONKEY GLANDs have a bit more flavour to round them out.

I think it is gin and orange juice with a little bit of grenadine and anise liquor [or liquorice or absinthe or something of that ilk]. I have no idea about the proportions offhand, and I might be thinking of the wrong drink.

The one I had had absinthe. It was delicious, if you like gin. However, we also had an exceptionally good bartender.
