Well, in approximately fourteen hours and forty-one minutes, we will be on the plane to Minneapolis then to somewhere that is not Newark and then hopefully to Delhi. I am excited. But worried. Yesterday we were scheduled to end up in Finland. That's been changed. But who knows where we'll end up

oh my gawd, I am so jealous of you! I'll be sitting in World Issues trying to read the packets she left us and trying not to kill Trenin or the people who are obsessed with March Madness and who will probably force the sub to turn it on and you'll be landing in freaking INDIA (or Finland, or perhaps Argentina, anyway somewhere exotic and exciting) where it's tropical and with cows and chai and bindis and rain and curry and, and GAH!

Have a good time, or at the very least have a better time than the people stuck here.

I always get sort of depressed before a big trip or something equally exciting - it's like my body's mechanism for keeping me from getting my hopes up too high. Or something. Grr.

What is up with that? It's so weird. And of course I had nothing to be worried about. I loved almost all of the people and India was beyond fantastic. HMMMMmmmmm.

Basically everywhere that we went people openly gawped at us. Which is really weird. And sort of awkward. So we just kind of waved and most of them waved back while others motioned that they were hungry and yet more motioned that they wanted to have sex with us. Great.

Butttttt, so many men hold hands and show so fucking much affection!!!! Homosexuality is not aknowledged so all men get married and some have behind-the-scenes affairs, I guess but they can hold hands whenever they want. And that was nice.

Hand holding!! That's so cute. That lack of open male affection is one of the really sucky things about America. Did you ever watch that documentary about the Lost Boys from Sudan? I love that moment where the guy is trying to explain to them that they can't hold hands, and they're like, "...why not? We're friends."

I'm afraid that I didn't buy anyone anything because shopping terrified me. People just attack you and five hundred rupies becomes alot of money and I'm sorry that I didn't manage. But you can have some sandlewood incense if you want. It smells soooo good.
