After my computer crashed for good last April (for the second time-it had crashed about six months before that, but had been resurrected by a techie who deemed it beyond repair the second time), I’d resorted to using an old backup laptop for the past 10 months-which was also starting to break down (constant freezing and all that ( Read more... )

Good for you getting a Mac. I have one but originally learned on a PC. To me everything is so much easier on the Mac.

doesn't cost you anything to upgrade the OC when you're ready. I still haven't half explored what I can actually do on mine as I'm a very basic person when it comes to tech.

Googling 'how to' is great! What's also awesome is that you don't need virus protection, so no extra cost there.

That's good to hear! Hopefully, it won't take me too long to get used to it!

Good to know!

Yessss, that's probably my favorite thing about it! They (Best Buy) did give me a free antivirus for 6 months, but even admitted I won't need it, heh.

I think iTunes is rather complicated, this is probably why I will always be a Windows user with an MP3 player

I hope the MP3 player I currently have never breaks, I've had it for 7 years and I got most of my tunes from the library and I don't even know if they have most of the disks I used anymore

though recently since I started working I realized that maybe I should add more tunes because I have found myself going through all the tunes in like two weeks (because it's like an hour long ride to and from my workplace)

Once you get used to it, iTunes is actually pretty simple; I expect the same will be true of the computer itself.

Those older MP3 players definitely have a lot of life in them; I'll bet my old one still works if I tried it

Yeah, what I usually do is add as much as I can, and shuffle it--you get something new each time!
