Yes, they did. Basically, I should travel along in the guise of "helping with the children," but realllly be man-hunting. Uh...no.
I have actually had conversations with some genuinely helpful people who actually remember what it was like to be single and getting all eyeroll-worthy comments, but they are truly rare gems.
