A friend of mine found this book from the 1940s at a library book sale or some such, entitled: What Men Hate About Women. Oh yes, and it gets better in that it's actually serious. She just sent me a gem of a quote after we had our writers group meeting last night.

Why is it that so many women authors are unkempt, with ink on their fingertips, creases in their necks, and dirt behind their ears? Is the art of writing so unnatural to them that it drives out even their native vanity of person? And why do they wear such outlandish clothes, hats, and shoes?

This sounds kinda hot, ngl.
