A real-life friend wants pictures of warm, sunny California. It wasn't all that warm during my trip there, since it was January, but chances are good that it was warmer than where she lives. So here's the first California picspam! This is all beach or ocean-related stuff.

I never have had a thing for red-heads. First crush: blond boy with green eyes. Second: blond boy, blue eyes. Eventually I moved on to dark-haired men as well, but redheads? I can't think of any, from real life or celebrity crushes. That has apparently changed. I blame Damian Lewis.

We stayed in Afton, Wyoming for a few days. Its claim to fame--it's the hometown of Rulon Gardner, the Greco-Roman Olympic wrestling champion. (What, you never heard of him before?! Heh, I had, but that's because he's LDS too.) Afton is in Star Valley, which is south of Jackson Hole.

I believe I threatened all of you with picspam when I came back from vacation... and I have yet to fulfill that threat. So here we go: Yellowstone Park picspam. Lady Bird Johnson, widow of former president Lyndon Johnson, died at age 94. One way my life has been improved by hers is with the beauty of wildflowers extravagantly decorating the highways.
