Ultraviolet: because killing vampires is more fun with technology

Mar 06, 2012 20:01

Either tomorrow or Thursday I'll post a recap of episode one of Ultraviolet. And it will be a week before the next post, which means you have lots of time to catch up! And why exactly should you make an effort to watch random 1990's British TV? I'm glad you asked... except for how I should be working on that to-do list, so this is going to be ( Read more... )

Sooooooooooo looking forward this this rewatch. ♥

Philip Quast is best known in the US (as far as I know) as Javert in the 10th Anniversary Concert of the musical Les Miserables.

Yay, I'm glad you'll be rewatching with us! :)

Forever Knight icon, right? *giggles I had a friend who was completely addicted, so I ended up watching bits and pieces of it.

Hee, yes. ♥ I've had an on-again, off-again love affair with Forever Knight for the last decade or so, and I just started trying to rewatch that as well. Mmm, vampires.

I thought the rewatch was on the 8th? I have the DVDs and it's so few eps I figured, why not?

I figured I'd aim for a range of days. But this week's post is definitely going up Thursday, not today.

Yay, I'm glad you'll be rewatching! *sends telepathic shipping vibes*
you need to ship Angie/Vaughan... and write fic...

It's Harker, actually. But she was lovely in In the Heat of the Sun where she was a pilot and shot things. yes, yes, yes, I have a type (I think I first saw her in a Holmes adaption of The Dying Detective, though)

And I really need to watch it again. I just got bored with Norrington and didn't get past the furst episode.

Fixed her last name, thanks. Oooh, she shoots things in something?! Hm, must investigate.

Funny, Norrington didn't bore me the first time, but the second watch? Yeah, a bit.

Who is Jack Harkness (Norrington!)!??????
Am I right to think you were talking abut Jack Davenport? Using some character's name? (I'm really lost here...sorry if I look kinda silly in my questioning).

No, I was having last name fail issues when I typed this, apparently. Susannah Harker's last name threw me off. Fixed it now--he's indeed Jack Davenport, not Jack Harkness.

Just because some vampires are bad, does not mean that they are all necessarily evil. There is good and bad in everything.
Watch Tim Burton's new movie "Dark Shadows". Although the vampire in that had to kill a few people, he also saved his family from an evil witch and saved a young girl who was falling from a cliff by biting her to give her vampire abilities.
Watch "The Little Vampire". It is a children's movie, but it has been known to appeal to adults and teenagers as well. One of the vampires in that saves a human character from being hit by a truck.
I believe that the main reason why Holy water burns vampires is because of something that is put into it. Just being blessed by a preacher would probably not make it powerful enough to burn vampires.
Also, one of the main reasons why some vampires may be afraid of crosses is because so many of their kind have been stabbed through the heart with them over the years. If someone was to point a gun at you, would you be afraid?
