Jan 26, 2012 06:15

Hey, tonight there's a repeat episode of Person of Interest, so if you haven't been watching, you have time to try it (and do some catching up if you want) before the next new episode.

Ooooh, i was completely uninterested in this show until you got to the sentient machines part!!!

Tbh, I am still mostly uninterested. But if they DO go that route, I will totally tune in. I just can't hack procedurals - they just don't appeal to me. I love what you said about how grim most procedurals are. I will literally leave the room and/or plug my ears if Criminal Minds comes on.

(I DID actually see the Enrico Colantino episode of PoI - he was pretty fantastic, unsurprisingly!)

Yeah, this is NOT a show for people who dislike procedurals. (I have a low tolerance for the violent and gory procedurals myself. Or the ones with the 'get under your skin' type of crimes.)

I think the sentient machine is going to be part of the end game for P of I if the show gets multiple seasons. It doesn't walk around or anything cool like that, but we do get glimpses of The Machine's point of view, and... it's sort of scary. Which makes me RIDICULOUSLY HAPPY. :D

Keith Mars, mobster, was impressively scary as well, speaking of scary things. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

I'm watching. Only started ten minutes ago, though. So I missed the first 30 minutes. I just don't think it's for me, though.

I read your posts (and fic) sometimes anyway.

Ooh, torture scene. :-/

I'm giggling a bit at the 'read some of your posts anyway' bit, because I totally did that with your Smallville posts when we were both newbies. Though eventually I stopped doing that--it sounded too crack-tastic after a while. Heh.

I still do that with some of your TV and movie posts, actually.

Torture scene wasn't super-explicit. It left it to our imagination. Which, okay, is sometimes worse...

Did you like Stanton? She was awesomescary. That needs to be a smushed-up new word, don't you think? Maybe scareawesome instead. (And someone wrote a good fic with her once we found out [spoilery thing about Stanton].)
