Exam season is starting. It's quite a lot of work now that I'm teaching full time. Also, wtf, student from my group? You did pretty well on all my tests (and the last one was just five days ago!) but you failed the exam? How did you even manage to forget all this stuff that fast? So I'm teaching three subjects this semester. Two of them are similar, but not identical to subjects I've taught before. The third one is stuff I'm pretty much still learning myself. So once again I am entering grades into the system and once again it's unnecessarily complicated. For one thing the system seems to have been "improved" which, as usual, means it isn't any better or easier to use than it was before, but it is completely different. So we did a test in cryptography where one of the questions was to cypher your own name.*

One of the students used the wrong cypher. But I feel like I should still at least figure out exactly what cypher he used so I will have to try to decode it.

What's wrong with my students today? Seriously, I've met more mature kids in middle school.* Sometimes I think they're actively trying to avoid learning anything. Seriously, they were doing fine last week, but now suddenly not a single person in the class remembers anything we've been doing for the last month.
