I am continually amazed and blessed by my family. I mean the biological one. They seem to think that they do nothing more than what any family does. I try to illustrate how wrong they are, how 'off' some families are on the topics that they (my own family) have faced in my life without second thought.

They are so matter-of-fact that I often stand stupefied by their brilliance.

I cannot imagine any other family but this one.

(And I should add that being so completely mutual is support of someone else's life online is just bloody brilliant as well. *smooch*)

Nice thoughts Darren. You are talking about the unsung heroes of the epidemic - caregivers, friends, ASO workers, volunteers, etc., etc.

Hey Darren - I know we haven't been good about staying in touch, but I hope you know that you have been a positive impact on our lives and we are very grateful for the friendship we share with you.

You are definitely among the people I was writing about, in a very prominent spot. And even though we've been remiss in keeping in touch, you are in my thoughts a lot. *hug*
