Very cool (no pun intended)! Loved the way the seemingly insignificant lizard thing came back to smack John later. Great team story with them working together and John doing his best to lead and protect, even though injured/sick himself. I liked the snow stuff to bring out John's previous experiences. Awesome job with the prompt.

Really enjoyed this story. Just thinking of Sheppard surfing...*guh*. A nice combination of the down time with some OC's and the team. Nicely balanced and the geek references were great too! I really love stories with the team and John heroically carrying on. It is equally enjoyable when the team receprocates. It is nice to read a story where the team is protective of him and care for him. Thanks! :)

Sheppard surfing was a great image to start with! Liked his reflections on recent canon events and how they worked into the story. And I liked the cold weahter survival details and the way the blindness forced voices and sounds to be what told us was going on at the end. Nice job!
