China must end it's illegal occupation of Tibet. This short sentence was deleted from (another) paper earlier on. The Han government in Peking faces daily opposition from the civilised world over it's continued genocide. I was asked "What of American genocide towards the Native Indians?" Only the Chinese people have their fate, and that of Tibet in their hand, as China is currently very powerful and successful economically, militarily, and can feed its population, the Tibetans, like other minorities subjugated in ruthless dictatorships will keep being subjugated ( ... )

China illegally occupies Inner Mongolia too. In addition to which large areas of Xinjiang are home to Han military oppression of the local populace.

I was invited to a wedding in Mongolia. The ethnic Mongols do not have anywhere near the problems that Tibet has. As to Turkmens, why is Tibetso popular but the Uighur situation ignored?

Ah, but where were you invited to a wedding - in Mongolia (ie the Republic Of Mongolia), or in Inner Mongolia (occupied by China)? I've been in Inner Mongolia twice, and problems are really quite intense. There has been a colonisation policy to bring Han Chinese into the area - and they now outnumber the ethnic Mongolians by a factor of 20/1 (official statistics). It is still not allowed to mention Genghis Khan's name in Inner Mongolia, and the "Museum of Mongolia" in Huhehot has utterly erased his name from Mongolian history ( ... )

Shillinghot is the nearest tow so it is Chinese Inner Mongolia. I was told of no major problems by the groom (my former sparring partner in martial arts) or bride (ethnic Mongol). Hohhot may be different as the capital. East Turkmenstan (and that region) is mixed. On racism, Russians are not so P.C...
