If one wants proof of the paucity of intelligent comment on television regarding Europe then one need look no further than the scheduling. Many years ago there was a programme called "Europe Express" 30 minutes or so rounding up what was going on both inside and outside the E.U. But everything that the tartan-trousered lardballs on the other side of the Atlantic ever do is worthy of praise and envy. Like bombing Somalia (last week, not reported in the USA-loving western press), or eating donuts. Anything.

Dorogoi Vassily, Privyet. As I stated before out of a nation of 300 million I found 150 million to be Ok. My bid in the Independent auction for a trip to NY (nice blinis in Brighton Beach) was not the winner. There is a deep seated slave like attitude to the U.S from the U.K. Also in Ireland by the way. America suffers (at present) from being the worlds policeman and that is never a nice task. Certainly there is a mocking attitude towards the E.U from a dysfunctional Britain.
