Year 1 - Autumn - Darcy
Reuben Darcy, Autumn, Year One.
I'm calling this Year One because it is the first year of a new civilisation. Maybe I should call it Year One PD (post-Darcy), does that sound a bit too much? Hmmm, maybe, I'll have to think about it.
Autumn has been a busy season for everyone. I have have been concentrating on my studies. I still don't feel I am any closer to understanding what has happened to us but I will keep on trying, what else is there to do?
I have been helping out Thorn alot and we have managed to get a water pump up and running and a small wind turbine. This is a big step forward for us, clean water and electricity are a necessity if we want to keep progressing.
In my downtime I play alot of chess, the other settlers regularly visit for a game which is much preferable to playing by oneself. I am surprised to say that I now class Quinn as a good friend. She's not as airy-fairy as she looks, she's quite smart underneath, and she has the same aim as me. I will relish the challenge of trying to find a cure before she does. I better get back to work, I don't want her getting the jump on me.
