Sorry it took me awhile- I just had to reread the whole fic to be reminded how wonderful it is. And this chapter is the icing on the cake. Marcus is so evil- yet there's something underneath

I continue to be in awe of your writing. Great chapter. Seriously great. I really felt River's every emotion, up to the resignation she suddenly felt, and of course then Marcus still has to one-up her and... Simon.

I’m so glad you can feel River. I always wonder if her emotional struggle gets redundant.

You know, it seems River’s the one that always one-ups Marcus, so I threw him a bone. As for Simon, well…*zips lips*
