Great chapter again. There's still something lurking in Marcus, but I don't think it's going to come out. Poor River's realisation of his total evilness is great, and her sorrow for Simon is lovely.

River has been hanging onto naive hope and denial for quite a while, but only because there has been virtually no alternative. It’s going to be fun to explore River now that she’s maturing…
