How fascinating. Those who have been here close to a year seem to identify Memento Eden as a new home.

It's more an adapting mechanism than anything else. I'd think it the same were I relocated somewhere else and remained there for a long time.

How true. But as you continue to stay here, I have to wonder who would choose to stay and who would choose to return.

I would think that those who would choose to stay would have no reason whatsoever to return home. Maybe their entire family has died, or perhaps their world makes Memento Eden look like paradise by comparison. I know that, if given the choice, I would choose to return to my home, but I also have obligations back home I must fulfill. Leaving would be very difficult, however.

An entire year...

That must be very strange, but I can see how this place would become something of a home after such a long time...

I'm not so sure I would like to be stuck here that long, though.

Good luck, though.

Ah, well, thank you. You must be new to Memento Eden. Am I right?

I see. Well, then, I believe some introductions are in order. I am Eliwood, the current stablemaster here. Pleased to make your acquaintance, miss...?

A whole year already... I'd say congratulations, but I'm not sure that's something you want to be congratulated on.

Indeed. Nevertheless, it is a landmark, and I'm fortunate that I've been able to take care of myself this long here.

Oh, definitely. In honor of this landmark... I think I'll bake something to celebrate. How do chocolate-chip oatmeal cookies sound?

They sound absolutely delicious! I look forward to trying them.

Well, to be fair, most of the time it is peaceful. However, sometimes...things happen. For example, we had to spend a week and a half literally stuck to the first person we touched, and another time, everything fell upwards instead of downwards inside all buildings.

Well...sometimes they can get truly awful. Neither of those is even remotely close to the worst thing the powers that be did to us.
