Getting away from work and NaNoWriMo

So, I just got home tonight from work at 11:10 PM (- -;;), and I'm really burned out, but I have to slam another 1000 words into NaNoWriMo before I go to bed.

Fortunately, drox  came to my rescue with a short exercise in procrastination that helped restore my sanity. Here's her book meme with the following rules:

Whee!

I am no participant for NaNoWriMo, namely because I am no writer, but my goal for the end of the month is to get some new artwork up in the Deviantart gallery. I haven't uploaded anything since last semester, and this year's work is so much more fun!

I hope I'm not being too forward, but I've always loved your artwork! Would you mind giving me a link to your deviantart gallery?

I've always liked that game best ^.^ It's entertaining when the first book I grab ends up being one of the medical books I have kicking about or the booklet in my DVD set of Doctor Who (S03)
I think I have successfully failed NaNo, but my muse came home to inspire a better story so I think I'm a winning loser this time. Kee!

Looking forward to seeing your better story! Is it going to be published online (i.e. fanfiction) or are you waiting for a publishing deal? At any rate, best of luck to you!

Aw, lucky. You got a really great line from that game. I just got:

"Who on earth are you?" said Howl.

(Yes, I'm finally reading Howl's Moving Castle. I adore the movie so much that I figured it was high time that I read the actual novel. It's good so far... but it didn't give me much in the way of an Exciting Page-56 Line. ^^; )

Good luck with NaNoWriMo, by the way! I've kind of resigned myself to the fact that school+work=not enough time for 50k words, but I'm giving it my best. If I can get 30k, I'll consider it a successful month.

And, as always, let me know when/if any of your originals get finished and make it to the bookshelves! I'll be there to snatch up a copy. ^_^

I happen to love both the movie and the novel, although the characterizations of Sophie and Howl are so different, as well as the main conflict, that it's like two different stories ( ... )
