The Notebook.

So this is what all the fuss is about.

I’ve never been a big enthusiast when it comes to romantic movies, and this didn’t do much to change my mind.

As the chick-flick genre goes this is a good film, and delivers some twists and turns, which was good ( Read more... )

Clerks 2 was one of my faves from last year. The soundtrack and Randal's lack of path in life resonated with me. Also, the summing up of Lord of the Rings vs Star Wars was something that set me on fire - loved that speech :D

My Clerks II review wasn't very good, mainly because I haven't really decided how I feel about the film.
I definetly need to see it again. I loved the interaction between the characters, but I thought the Rosario/Dante relationship was way to predictable, and not that interesting.
I really liked Randal and Elias, and their movie-geekyness.
Hehe, the LotR vs. SW discussion was great, one of my favourite parts, up to the puking.
If there was something that resonated with me it was when Randal was telling Dante how important their friendship was to him, as I knew how he felt and totally understood him.

Hmmm, thanks, this helped me clear out my thoughts a little actually. :)
Am looking forward to seing it again.

Aw, so you're not an X-phile, but that's ok.. you at least gave it a try! Interesting observation though.. but back then I probably would've done the same cuz I was ga-ga for Mulder, lol.

I still have to see Pirates so couldn't read that just yet. ;)

Sadly no.
There are a few episodes I've been recomended from later seasons that I'd like to see, but I don't think I'll be investing much more of my time in the series.

My pirates review isn't really spoilery, all I can say if you really don't want to read it is wait for the DVD.

I liked 'Lemony Snicket' quite a lot too so you're not alone there.

And, in fact, I had to watch 'Deadwood' with subtitles, because there was no way I could possibly understand everything otherwise. Partly because of all the mumbling, partly because of all the Shakespearian monologes. And partly because Al Swearenger plots such complex schemes that without a pause button I might not have actually caught what he plots about.

Yay, I'm not alone! :)
I just liked the crazy, and the baby was kind of cool.

I think you did the right thing watching it with Subtitles.
I eventually managed to piece most of it together, but there are parts I'm still a little confused about.
I might have to see if I find subtitles once I get a hold of season 2.

Oh, the baby was the best of them all.

I have a full set of season 2 subtitles so if you have any trouble finding them on the net, just let me know and I'll send them to you, no problem.
