Alone In The Apartment
► Boy did it get cold yesterday. After a week of muggy weather with temperatures in the mid to high 20s (80s Fahrenheit), it really dropped Friday night, drastically. It was so cold I ended up spending most of the day and night in bed sleeping. It looks like today is going to be just as cold and grey, but with the added bonus of rain.
Dean left yesterday afternoon to spend the weekend at our younger sister's place 2 hours away. I guess she's babysitting today. Last night was one of the rare nights where I have the apartment all to myself. Not that I ever end up doing anything differently. I suppose she'll be back sometime this evening.
► After the better part of a month I think my vertigo symptoms are almost entirely faded. There might still be some lingering unsteadiness, but for the most part I think it's over. God I hope so, cause it was really annoying. Though probably not as annoying as it was for everyone online to see me bitch about it.
► I just went through a draft explaining how I ordered 5 Superman tradepaperbacks from Amazon.ca last Wednesday, received three of them on Friday morning, and how two of them were listed as shipping in 1 to 3 weeks yet are apparently now listed as "shipping soon". It dawned on me, while writing out the long winded explanation of what the books are collecting, that no one would care and that I was making it longer than it needed to be. As such, I ordered the following tradepaperbacks:► Superman: Secret Origin (received)
► Superman: New Krypton Vol 1
► Superman: New Krypton Vol 2 (received)
► Superman: New Krypton Vol 3 (received)
► Superman: New Krypton Vol 4
The New Krypton volumes collect the first two parts of a long four part storyline that ran through the various Superman comics from 2008 through 2010 (New Krypton, World of New Krypton, Last Stand of New Krypton, and War of the Supermen). I'm going to wait a few weeks before I do, but to get the rest of the story I need to order the following books:► Superman: Last Stand of New Krypton Vol 1
► Superman: Last Stand of New Krypton Vol 2
► Superman: War of the Supermen
Believe me, this section was a lot longer before I rewrote it.
► 9gag: Lord Leonidas - Dialog from the movie 300 re-imagined as delivered by proper gentlemen. I think this is friggin funny. Most exquisite indeed.
► 9gag: Cleaning teeth like a.... - Not sure what it says about me exactly, but no I would not be comfortable using these toothbrushes.
► theChive: Amazing light sculptures by Makoto Tojiki (15 HQ Photos) - Exactly what it says. Incredible work.
► Kim Kardashian 'Going to Think' About Charges Against Flour Bomber - Yes, someone has to stand up and let people know they can't get away with these vicious flour assaults! I'd have more sympathy for Kim Kardashian if she was hit with an unopen bag of flour. Cause that definitely would hurt.
► Angelina Jolie Says She Ignored Oscars Leg Meme - From the article:"The people I surround myself with don't really talk about that kind of stuff," she said.
Yeah, that's because they work for you. They're probably smart enough to know that you'd fire them.
I gotta say, it really does look like Jolie was overdoing the posing at the Oscars. It's such an awkward and unnatural stance, she might as well have carried a sign saying "LOOK AT MY LEG!!!!!"
