Yes, definitely. Most of the time she's farther away from the action than I was expecting, which was the best discovery of speaking to her face to face. Hope it stays that way.

I can't even imagine what you're having to deal with through all of this - At least you've some distraction in the form of B99, even though there aren't nearly enough eps of that show.

There are not NEARLY enough episodes, I ran through them so quick! And was absolutely on board for Santiago/Peralta by the end of it /o\.

Also serving some excellent distractions have been the Blackhawks Convention and Kane and Toews extensions and ensuing media coverage, all of which have been a freaking delight.

Really glad to hear about your sister and yay for getting to visit her!

It's been a hell of a week. The MH17 outrage has pushed all the other bad stuff in the world off people's minds and while I get that, since Australia lost a lot of people and it's pretty personal and directly affecting a lot of people here, there's so much other suffering too. I quit my Hebrew class this year as I just didn't have the time but I've really been missing them this week and I feel the need to reach out and check in with them to see how their families are doing. But part of me is also glad not to be there as the political conversations.. yeah, not good.

I keep hearing about Brooklyn Nine-Nine from various corners of my LJ world, I must check it out.

Do you know what some Israeli media said about MH17? "This will buy Israel some time while the rest of the world is preoccupied by the crash." I swear, people are just gross, ugh. Meanwhile my middle sister is a flight attendant and now she's all stressed that the same thing can happen to an Israeli plane, deliberately, and there's really nothing soothing to reply with. Thinking of you, honey. I haven't much concrete to add, but thinking of you. I'm glad you saw your sister and that all's well with her. And I'm delighted you like Brooklyn Nine-Nine! It's such a fabulous, heartwarming show.

It is DELIGHTFUL. Back when I watched the pilot I felt like it was trying too hard, but by the end of the season it was just so sweet and funny and light and just, everyone in the core cast absolutely won me over. I am even on board Peralta/Santiago because they are so cute together and starting from about halfway through the season you can just start seeing how they care about each other and work together well and he is not a creep to her and it is great. WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT.

I KNOW RIGHT. I was not at all invested in the show, until suddenly I looked up and I TOTALLY WAS. I love them all so much.
