-Looks lke Dr. Phil has run out of the "instant fame" elixir and cannot get any more from Oprah's "Vajay-jay" cause she is giving her fame nectar to Obama. So in a desperate and lame attempt to garner some publicity and try to boost the faltering ratings on his show, he used the Spears family and Brittanys deteriorating mental condition for his own ( Read more... )

For the most part I agree with you on the politikal front. I didn't vote in the last Presidential election because it was obviously rigged. Kerry wasn't even a popular contender, yet he still got the nomination. But most of the candidates in 04 were fucking eunuchs without any substance to them. As far as this time around, I don't even trust Ron Paul to tell the truth. I am amused by Obama though. He is promising to fix health care, take on the oil and auto industries, bring the troops home from Iraq, close Guantanamo Bay, and restore habeas corpus; all with the fervency of Robert Kennedy and the eloquence of MLK2. But then I read Calla_Lily's statements and I think about Pakistan and Kenya, and I wonder: What if she is right? I want so much to believe that the system isn't broken, and that we common folk can make a difference; and that is what scares me. I hate being disillusioned. But I also hate being manipulated.

Janus is my tormentor. I am always seeing things two ways, of two minds about it.

I used to be young and idealistic once... time, knowledge, and experience have killed that and turned me into a pessimistic realist with the occasional glimmer of optimism.

As for me... I think the system is broken. And the only people that can fix it are the people who broke it in the first place. That is highly unlikely because they make way too much money off it.

So it pretty much needs to be taken out of their hands and rebuilt.

I don't even vote or think my vote counts for anything... but if any of those three (Romney, Huckabee, or McCain) have a chance at winning anything, I probably will vote just to in some way hinder them even though it is a meaningless gesture.

And besides... I live in a state that is going to automatically choose Obama as the nominee and president.

The bumper sticker idea is hilarious *lol*
