the last bit, about the shirt and the knife - I was thinking that he figured a big secret would win that last bit of her that was wavering...then, between the sight of Dani dressing & a worry about the damage Dani could do to him with his knife...he shuts up.

(of course, my Crews muse might have kept that from being evident, dang him!)
