Why I like them: an everyman who is yet distinct with his own talents. Why I don’t: I don't remember him trying to talk to many people, which is fine for Dr. Ellingham, but somehow rings false about Bones. :) Favorite episode (scene if movie, book, manga, etc) - TOS - Devil in the Dark. Movie - when he introduces himself to Kirk. Favorite season/movie/book/volume: Devil in the Dark wins it all, imho Favorite line: "I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer." OTP: Bones/Uhura Brotp: Bones & Spock. Head Canon: he's smarter than he lets people think he is; he has no connections (political, social, other), unlike Spock. Unpopular opinion: he shouldn't get a movie of his own (because then the scriptwriters would invent complexes and traumas to bedevil him with, on top of whatever angsts they drop on him) A wish: five more Trek movies with him in it. (and at least one with a Horta) An oh-god-please-don't-ever-happen: Bones/Horta. 5 words to best describe them: honest, humane, human (both senses of the word) My nickname for them

oh its painful for me as well (even factoring in the TNG explanation for why there's so fragging many humanoids!).....the Horta's the primary (at times the only) reason I return to TOS.
...though I do wonder how all the "highly imitative" aliens (such as the mock-gangsters in 'a piece of the action') will be handled in the Reboot.
i rather wish we could have the two Boneses on the big screen, much as we had the two Spocks. (maybe the next time there's a ficathon or something, I can request that)
Why I like them: at first, it was the clocks (that takes focus and dedication)...then came the humor and his way of handling Nick shanghai-ing him into everything. Why I don’t: I'd say how he lets Nick walk all over him...but then, given what Grimms did to his family, I'd be studious to avoid that outcome if I were him too. Favorite episode (scene if movie, book, manga, etc) - the one with the sheep wesen, as that let Monroe (and his actor) stretch their acting chops. {didn't see the pun til i finished typing} Favorite season/movie/book/volume: season 1. Favorite line: "All things have an end, only the sausage has two." OTP: Monroe/Juliet, as Nick's bound and determined to keep repeating the same cycle of omission where she's concerned. Brotp: Monroe/Hank. Head Canon: Monroe can't actually see red. but, like color-blind people IRL, he's learned when to react so it looks like he can see it. (if he could see red, think of all the times he's been in the company of Juliet, among other red nouns) Unpopular

Wow. I never would have pictured that for some reason. I think it's because I love, love, LOVE Rosalie. So Monroe/Rosalie is one of the best things ever. But to each their own.
A wish: Monroe (and Hank) get to have an entire episode without Nick onscreen even once.
Why I like them: she's smart, competent at her job and her life, and she's good company, and doesn't loose her temper easily. Why I don’t: there are times that, if I think about it, work seems so easy for her that she's coasting through. (its a bit expected for the guest roles, like Max and Catherine were in s1) Favorite episode (scene if movie, book, manga, etc) - so many to choose from. I think the surfing episode, as that gave us a look at pre-injury Kono. Favorite season/movie/book/volume: season 1. Favorite line: "Thanks." (she says it honestly and well, and is a marked contrast to her boss, who never seems to say it) OTP: Kono/Danny. Brotp: Kono/Chin-Ho Head Canon: Kono and Dr. Asano and Grace would all get along as a super-BROTP. ...also, like the Kono in the earlier 5-0, she's descended from Hawaiian royalty - but not the family who united the islands. Unpopular opinion: I didn't really like the first Halloween episode, because its bad enough when the writers make Danny into a "I must mock and profane

I must admit, I'm really enjoying Karl Urbin's portrayal of Bones though.

I let Monroe have fun with that question. :)

I do as well - she's awesome.
but before they introduced Rosalee... (Rosalie?)
