Jane Rizzoli. Rizzoli and Isles.

And if I may, Monroe. Grimm. :)

Monroe

Why I like them: at first, it was the clocks (that takes focus and dedication)...then came the humor and his way of handling Nick shanghai-ing him into everything.
Why I don’t: I'd say how he lets Nick walk all over him...but then, given what Grimms did to his family, I'd be studious to avoid that outcome if I were him too.
Favorite episode (scene if movie, book, manga, etc) - the one with the sheep wesen, as that let Monroe (and his actor) stretch their acting chops. {didn't see the pun til i finished typing}
Favorite season/movie/book/volume: season 1.
Favorite line: "All things have an end, only the sausage has two."
OTP: Monroe/Juliet, as Nick's bound and determined to keep repeating the same cycle of omission where she's concerned.
Brotp: Monroe/Hank.
Head Canon: Monroe can't actually see red. but, like color-blind people IRL, he's learned when to react so it looks like he can see it. (if he could see red, think of all the times he's been in the company of Juliet, among other red nouns)
Unpopular ( ... )

Monroe/Juliet

Wow. I never would have pictured that for some reason. I think it's because I love, love, LOVE Rosalie. So Monroe/Rosalie is one of the best things ever. But to each their own.

A wish: Monroe (and Hank) get to have an entire episode without Nick onscreen even once.

YES! I want this too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the Blutbad reaction to the color red, perhaps? ;)

I let Monroe have fun with that question. :)

> I think it's because I love, love, LOVE Rosalie.
I do as well - she's awesome.

but before they introduced Rosalee... (Rosalie?)

Jane

Why I like them: a good balance of humor and snark, focus and dedication.
Why I don’t: she lets her ma get away with far too much (there are days when, in deciding whether to watch the new episode live or on DVR, I think "do I want to watch the Incident Of The Week, or fast-forward to the case?")
Favorite episode (scene if movie, book, manga, etc) - any where she one-ups her nemesis.
Favorite season/movie/book/volume season 1, though might be because I remember it better than s2 at the moment.
Favorite line: "No," with the implied 'really?' in attendence. a fine blend of amusement sprinkled into the feigned disbelief.
OTP: Jane and the soldier she was & is involved with. (whose name escapes me)...but also, see below.
Brotp: Jane&Korsak..with Jane&Maura and Jane&Frost tied for a close second.
Head Canon: Jane's a polyglot, good at lots of languages.
Unpopular opinion: Jane will do perfectly fine even if she never meets a One True Love.
A wish: Jane retires, and becomes a private detective...at least for a little ( ... )

That's a perfect opinion to me. I think she would do very well. :)

actually, I don't know if its unpopular or not...i know its in the minority in terms of the fics I come across, but then again, to be fair, I don't go looking for many fics in this fandom.

its where I but heads with shows like OUAT and various fandoms - not only does one not need to fall in love with anyone (or, as one of your relies rightly pointed out, one's love might be purely paternal)...but its also possible to fall in love with someone in an arranged marriage. (Belle and Rumplestiltskin are the closest OUAT has to that)
