In September 2009, Kapoor suggested giving all Americans the option to buy into Medicare, the single-payer healthcare system for citizens age 65 and older. Dropping the age restriction would be simple, it wouldn't create a whole new regulatory apparatus, and would leave existing insurance companies free to operate their businesses however they like ( Read more... )

Far too logical to exist for long in Congress.

By the time it gets to vote, if it does survive, it will have 500 pages of amendments and riders attached to it.

I wish this weren't the case, cuz it's a good idea, but i've gotten jaded for some reason.
