I don't like mentioning 'undesirable areas' in public community-type things, but moving to Albany, if you're a twentysomething white girl like me, you'll want to avoid Park South, Arbor Hill and most of the South End.

Albany's a great place to live.

Oh, fruchick and I got into it on literally my first day in The Colbert Report community, about icons. I'm a horrible person because I found one of her icons outside LJ, and was using it without credit... because, ya know, there was no way to know she'd made it.

We went 'round and 'round for a while, until I basically won. I've no issue giving credit for icons, so long as people are nice about it. But frankly, you put it on the internet, and you lose control over it - don't wanna lose control, don't put it online.

At this point, I largely ignore her. :) Infuriates her much more.

Also, pretty sure I have an email addy listed in my profile, but there's also blog at kellyhills dot com. :)

Oh, she's going to have to try much harder. I'm teflon proof, and she's obviously a baby. ;)

You know, I really don't appreciate your comments. I tweaked the Fever, yes. But that really doesn't give you permission to come in and scream at someone. I'm sorry if the story made you mad or whatever. It wasn't meant to be serious. But just don't yell at me, okay?
Thanks!

If you don't appreciate public comments in a public journal, and can't take the time to make your story medically accurate (and yet want to write medically-based fanfic), then perhaps you should not post in a public journal in a public place, asking for public comments.

And if you don't want to be yelled at, don't yell at people first. That's seems pretty simple, too.

Just in case that's too complicated, I'll restate it:
1) don't ask for comments if you don't want them
2) don't be a jerk if you don't want people being a jerk to you

Okay. Well, I think it's time to end this. I hate arguing and it's really stupid. First, I will apologize for yelling, but you should apologize too -- it's just a simple lil work of fiction, nothing to get worked up over.
And please don't treat me like I'm a baby -- that wasn't complicated. I could read it.

If you don't want to be treated like a child, stop acting like one.

For example: deleting all the posts that dislike your story, or otherwise take issue with it (which is treading VERY close to breaking community rules, and in fact I have asked for a moderator ruling regarding)? That's the kind of temper tantrum a toddler throws.

And I'm not going to apologize to you for anything. You stepped over the line, you pitched your little fit, and now you're embarrassed to have been called out in public for making blatant errors and behaving badly. That's not my issue, that's yours.

Life has been hectic, and I'm a good two weeks behind in all but urgent email and school related deadlines. I'll keep an eye out for the email, but given I'm a good 500 behind, it will likely be a bit.
