I spent some time this morning cleaning up my flowerbeds after the floods. I was lucky that I didn't have too much at my house. They had to evacuate neighborhoods just a few miles away from me. It's very bad in parts of the area, and I feel so sorry for those whose homes were washed away. We got 8 inches of rain in 24 hours, but some places got 12 ( Read more... )

I didn't realize you lived out that way- I'm so glad you are okay! We've been watching all the devastation and it's just heart breaking.

Yup, I'm here in Colorado. It's just mind-boggling to see places that I've been and how bad they look now. There's damage everywhere.

every time I hear something about Colorado, I think of you and if you're close to whatever it is. Glad that you're okay and that Danny and Steve didn't float away.

I've been wondering how you've been doing and so glad to hear that you're ok!

The images on the news the past few days have been so scary!

It was pretty intense on Thursday and Friday. Today we've had very little rain, but a lot of the roads are still closed. I guess they're predicting more rain tomorrow.

Flowers are starting to blossom here :D

It's good to hear Steve and Danny didn't suffer and are still with you, but so sorry to hear about the disasters the rain has caused in your place.

My flower time is almost over, as the weather gets colder!

You probably haven't heard about it there, but we've had major floods. Entire towns were completely cut off because they were totally surrounded by water, and many roads and bridges have been washed out. This has not been a good year, weather-wise!

Wow- no I hadn't but that's pretty damn bad...

After reading this, I'm glad you're fine.

Hope you're safe there and that the weather calms down a bit...

*hugs*
