I bought a new camera for Christmas, and I went out at dawn this morning to take some pictures with it (there's some great outdoor light within the hour after sunrise--I am not a crazy person). I spent some time this morning cleaning up my flowerbeds after the floods. I was lucky that I didn't have too much at my house. They had to evacuate neighborhoods just a few miles away from me. It's very bad in parts of the area, and I feel so sorry for those whose homes were washed away. We got 8 inches of rain in 24 hours, but some places got 12 ( Read more... )

I took the day off from work and went to the library to spend the entire day doing research for my term paper (due the end of September).
