So Doug, his lady and I took in some badminton this afternoon at Boulevard Park. This was my first visit to a park as an official B-Ham resident, due to the nice weather. I suppose badminton is not the correct term, as there is no actual net. We just hit the birdie back and forth to each other, so perhaps "shuttlecocking" is a better term for our ( Read more... )

Freshman year of college, Nic, Kris, a stranger and I were sitting at a table watching that water-shooting boat. We assumed Kris would know what it was since she grew up in Port Angeles (a port? with lots of boats?) and she told us it was a salt boat. They were extracting salt from the bay. Nicole and I were skeptical until the stranger jumped in the conversation and told us that Kris was right. That settled it.

Weeks later, Kris told us she was lying and after some smirky eye contract, the stranger helped her pull off the trick.

In conclusion, the water-shooting boat's purpose is still a mystery, and you should never trust a stranger.

They are naut to be trusted.

That sounds like a cool boat for sure. I once saw the power plant building at UW (with the Mario pipe) let loose about a 2 minute burst of steam. Usually it just looks like a furnace, but it really had at it. This pipe looked like some sort of crazy reaction had taken place deep in its bowels and it just had to release the pressure.

I think it would be an awesome scene to see you do a seal impression as you hit on a girl. I'm sceptical of its results however.
