This had been the first Mother's Day ever where Chuck had someone mother-like to acknowledge. He wasn't exactly sure what to do. He had gotten Lily a present, of course, but didn't feel like it was right to go spend time with her when she had two biological children who wanted her time. He even felt a phone call was pushing it since he really wasn't her son. Add that to the fact that she had new shiny future stepkids to take up her attention...well, he didn't know what to do.

Instead of manning up and calling his stepmother, Chuck decided to mope around and drink. That was the Chuck Bass way.
