Thanks to the power of scotch and denial, Chuck had made it through Mother's Day, even if he didn't manage to get up the guts to call his stepmother. The day had definitely had it's share of emo due to the holiday and due to the fact that it marked that there were only seven days left until Chuck got his inheritance. He knew that from the outside view this seemed like something to celebrate, but to him it had been a point of stress. He didn't feel like he was anywhere near ready for this, and he hated how there were people in the wings waiting for him to fail. Needless to say he wasn't in a good state of mind at the moment. Truth be told, he hadn't been for a while now. He just used to be able to hide it better from everybody, including himself.
When he walked into the room and saw his father sitting on his bed like he hadn't been dead the past six months? That was when he knew he couldn't hide it anymore.
[So this week we're hitting upon Chuck's insane habit of seeing his dead father when he's really stressed out. No, Bart's not really a ghost, he's just a figment of Chuck's imagination. Chuck will talk to him as though he's really there but as far as other people/squirrels go it'll just look like he's arguing with himself. Oh, canon. I don't understand you. The post is for me first but then it's open after if you'd like]
