Smeg's got hyacinths, daffodils, tulips and narcissus coming up! Also, leeks. They're cute and happy little plants.

Last night was the Yiyun Li reading. I really admire her. She's a great writer. Hers is the only book I bought for class that I'm definitely keeping - I had her sign it and shook her hand and told her that I thought of her as the ( Read more... )

Sounds like the interview went really well! I'm hoping you get the job, Miss Lady. I was so happy to see you today!

I was so happy to see you, too! It's been a while. D: Thank you! I hope I get it, too. I was worrying earlier that she won't hire me simply because I said I was looking for 25-30 hours a week, but in my head, I thought 20 sounded more reasonable. I just didn't want to look l4m3.

And what Smeg said! We need to do some shit!!!

Aww, yay! I'm glad you don't have to take more language. Language blows.

What DO you do if you're checking people out and some bitch wants flowers?

Native American Lit would suck SO. HARD. I'm very sorry you have to take any lit at all, but goddamn. Native American lit is like hillbilly lit with added injustice. >(

I actually like native american literature. My half-uncle in Arizona used to send Smeg and me books, and I had this book of Native American stories that I read over and over again. I think they're awesome.

I said that I would call to see if someone could help the bitch who wants flowers, and if no one was there, I'd finish checking out the person I'm checking out and then go help the bitch who wants flowers. It sounded reasonable to me. She was writing all my answers down in various spaces that said things like 'Adaptability.'

I wouldn't have MINDED taking more Spanish, but I'm glad I don't HAVE to. Now I can just take it if I WANT to, which is much better, and means I could take it pass/fail and focus on learning something and not keeping up my GPA. :D
