Yeah, it looks cloudy sometimes, but it tastes good and is very clean. Long Island's water is even better! You don't even need Brita at my grandparents' house.

You flew to Rochester? Isn't that like mad close to your house?

Wow. I've been using Brita for so long in Brooklyn that I don't know if I've ever really tried my plain tap water.

Rochester isn't too far from Saratoga, but not really close to anything except other crappy cities like Syracuse ;) Stupid western NY. It's about a 4-hour drive, a little less. Certainly not enough to fly... but from NYC it's 6 or 7 hours on a train, I think. So my first Christmas after moving when I didn't have much time off I flew directly there from NYC (and I think flying is actually the same price as taking a train, as far as that trip is concerned). Normally, though, I'd be inclined to bus or train to Saratoga, and then drive with my family (usually the next day). That's what I've done on subsequent trips. Rochester has been the bane of my travels for years!
