Also, I think this is your second-best column, behind the one about sneaking into movies. And not just because you mention me ("Around the seventeenth time my moviegoing companion and I saw this shot in the trailer, we started continuing the scene ourselves, picturing her reaching for gel pens, glitter, elbow macaroni, and Lisa Frank stickers to further accentuate 'JIM DIES!!!')

I also really like this part: "But big stars don't do horror movies; for one thing, they're kinda embarassing, and for another, star salaries tend to price them out of the horror ghetto where $15 million you'd spend on a single Bullock or Berry can buy most of The CW and three CGI ghosts."

Heh, when Premonition came out, I started referring to it as "JIM DIES!!", to the amusement of my coworkers. One of them gave us all a recap of what happened in "JIM DIES!!" so we wouldn't have to actually go see it.

Did that person mention how spectacularly little sense it winds up making? I was originally going to have that column be a long explanation of how and why it makes no sense, but by that point I had forgotten far too much to do a good job.
