The Night From Hell

My dog got sick last evening while I was out. My daughter came home to find out that she'd lost control of her bodily functions about 8 times all over my living room carpet. My carpet will never be the same again. She has never done this in her whole life. Poor thing is soooo sick! I've had a bad feeling about my dog the past two weeks, and I' ( Read more... )

Unfortunately, the snows probably here to stay. We usually get it the first week of September, so I guess I consider us lucky. I just hate the cold now.

There is definitely something wrong with your dog..could be as simple as urinary tract infection or whatever..hope you get him/her to the vet soon and find out.
I knew the last part of ginger's thing, that if they were gonna tell me how much it would cost to ...keep her alive so to speak, I was gonna have to put her down..I had that on my mind all the way home on the bus so no wonder I cried..I was preparing myself. One just has to know when to say, enough vet $$$ yanno?

Yeah, I felt for you when you had to fork over all that money for the cat. I simply don't have that money to spend, so it wasn't an option for me. Besides, if they were just going to tell me that she was dying anyway, I'd just take her home and enjoy what time we had left together......as long as she wasn't suffering! Luckily, she 'seems' to be a little better today. I'm hoping she improves daily. Poor thing!

She seemed like she was dying, Lisa. I was really scared. Now, it appears she ate something poisonous or licked antifreeze off the parking lot pavement. She appears to be feeling a little better. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about the dog!!!! It seems you were struck by the Law Of 3's again. I bet dollars to doughnuts that you still looked gorgeous through your travails!!!!

Thanks. She did better last night and we both got a little bit of sleep, at least.

That is a tough choice but the doggie doesn't have any power over being sick.
Poor thing.
We spent 800.00 on a vet to try to save one of our llamas way back..it died anyway..but sometimes they can be saved. What are you using to clean the carpet? There are things that can clean really well.

Jim has something that supposed to be for that kind of thing, specifically. So, I'm going to borrow it. I know the animals can 'smell' the spots even though we've cleaned them as much as possible. Perhaps the special stuff will do the trick! Any suggestions?

Miracle something. I will have to look for our bottle and see what it is called.
I really think a change in dogfood with a specialty in urine leaking help might work too. Just call the vet..they can't charge you for the call.

When our old cat did the same thing, we tried so many different products to get rid of the odor and the one that worked best was Urine-off. Heh, the name says it all, huh?

I checked the website and it is supposedly available in Calgary at Shamrock Flooring Accessories
