I'm happy. I have just realised that
Barnes and Noble allow you to play a 30s clip of just about any song on any album you might be considering buying. Coupled together with the
MTV Radio stations I think I will be compiling a vast list of funky albums I wish to purchase, with minimal effort.

Actually, there's just something I don't like about iTunes which makes me want to avoid it like it has plague. Maybe it's the way I keep finding it installing itself on my systems without me asking it to.

As an added bonus, if it plays a song I don't like there is an option to skip the song - an option iTunes (I believe) is lacking.
Whilst working away, I occasionally hear a song I particularly like, and open the radio window to see who it is, and what album it's from. I am not aware of iTunes allowing you to then listen to a selection of other tracks from the same album for free. Barnes and Noble allows me to do so, and again without having to install anything. I like collecting albums. Real albums, on CDs. They're shiny.
So, with this combo for almost zero effort I get to listen to music I like, avoid music I don't, and can check whether or not the other songs on a given album are good enough to consider buying it.
