Super-advanced robotic senses notwithstanding, it was much easier for Togusa to pick out one of the handful of Westerners in the arrivals terminal than for Gesicht to sort through the crowd for one more Japanese. (Besides, the suit was a giveaway.)

"Gesicht!" Togusa raised a hand, and his voice to be heard over the bustle of the airport. The name was not an easy word to get a tongue accustomed to Japanese around, even with language software running in his cyberbrain.

Super-advanced robotic senses, did, however, ensure that Gesicht could hear Togusa over all the other sounds of the airport. He waved in return, and made straight for the other officer.

"Hello," he said with a small smile.

"Hello," Togusa returned the greeting. The bow was reflexive, but he caught himself and offered a hand to shake.

"How was your flight?" He looked at Gesicht, wishing he had Batou's Ranger eyes. German robotics had gotten unbelievably advanced, apparently. No wonder Public Security had agreed to the exchange. Togusa had no doubt the redsuits were going to scan Gesicht with every wavelength they had available.
