I was stopped at a red light (about 1.5 car lenghts behind the car infront of me). A car in the turn lane decided to turn and car was driving in the lane to the right of me. The cars collided. I pulled of got out to make sure everyone was ok, because I'm trained to do that. The car in the turn lane was found at fault; but the responding officer

Just do like I said and find where it is written in writing that you should stop that far back, that should cover you in case somethign legal should happen.
