9. Live Abroad

I'm not going to pretend living in Japan was an easy time for 2.5 years. But being perpetually out of place is amazingly refreshing when you've grown up feeling a bit out of place. The friends I made there--and the memories--sometimes make me wish I had never left.

Good list. I was just thinking about you and how cool it was that you went to Japan. I always wanted to do something like that. I mean, now I live in Seattle and it's different and I'm learning a lot of things about life, like the stuff on your list. Sometimes I just need it written out, you know?
