So much had happened that day; too much to take in.
He needed time, away from the others, to think about what he’d done…what he’d nearly done…
He was finally alone…
…apart from the conman turned outlaw that had just sat down beside him.
“Go away Allan. I want to be alone.”
“Sorry, can’t do that.”
“Please Allan…just go.”
“No.”
“Why not?”
He looked up to see an unusually serious Allan looking back at him.
“Because you were there for me and didn’t leave me on my own after Tom…now it’s my turn to do the same for you.”
