"Close your eyes, Will. Feel it with your fingers. Its texture. Explore it and you will know how to... treat it right." Will laughed at his father's remark, but finally he began his first lesson in wood-lore.
The memory of his father's words brings back the rage he felt three days ago. It clouded his judgement - so the others keep telling him, to make him feel better. Less guilty. But he knows it to be a snow-white lie. His wrath blinded him, blocked all of his senses, attacked his very soul. And he cannot forget how untouchable he felt.
