Free Books AND TOMORROW IS THE DAY

I'm beginning to think the title is horrifically ironic.

3) Also, awesome review for Roadkill here: http://tinyurl.com/yewb8fs Neat site for Horror buffs. But I just love this review. Why this person isn't doing them professionally, I do not know. It tells you about the book, but not too much, articulate, colorful, and gets you genuinely excited about it. Not the normal: series continues as usual. 4 1/2 stars.
PS I need a computer genius to help me figure out how to lock the Cal 6 chapter one so you minxes don't email it to the free world. I know adobe can be locked so you can't copy it, but then a few rotten apples would forward it. And I want this to be for those who really stand up and support Cal and Niko this week. International readers: You don't count on the NYT. So there is no way you can help me there, but buy *two* Roadkills, send receipt for proof, and you, too, can see chapter one of Cal 6. Don't want to discriminate against my overseas fans.
And, finally, let's nuke this thing, people. I have spent every minute of the past five days doing 100% promo and 0% writing. Now if I don't promo and the series falters...well. We don't want to talk about that. We really don't. But if I don't write, I won't have anything to promo. So let's show the whole book world we know what we like, we want more of it---*lots* more, because I simply can't promo and write, too. I just can't do it. There is not enough time in the day to promo and write two series. And I am tired, damn, damn tired. I have to schedule lunches with friends two months in advance because I don't have time to go. Hell, I'm not sure my friends are still even alive. I have been wearing pajamas for over a week. Can't be bothered with clothes anymore. Just change jams every morning. All for the most evil word alive: promote. PROMOTE. PROMOTE. PROMOTE OR DIE.
Oh, and if someone doesn't like how I promo, then *they* can write the books to give me have all the time in the world to promote in a more 'proper' manner.
Now, to the good part. Cal, Niko, Robin, road trip, what could go wrong? With our boys, what could go right??? (does Niko end up sharing a hotel room with Robin? Yes, he does. God help him because the Devil won't.)
Guys, you are the utter best fans in the world. I think I'm getting choked up...or it's left-over mucous from my plague monkey pox coma illness of all last week.
