The XM radio station I listen to most of the time is the Broadway channel. Yeah, I'm gay.

Tonight on the way home I heard the familiar staccato opening notes of "Color and Light" from Sunday in the Park with George. I turned up the volume. Then my jaw hit the steering wheel. Some chick with a Northern English accent was singing the part of Marie

Funny and odd....My Mother sent me a CD the other day she had made (musical/stage music) and I was sooo excited to listen to it on my LONG drive to work. I put it in and almost died! The man sounded like Kermit the frog and the women Miss Piggy....I thought my God. I tried so hard to listen to some of the songs but could not take it. I thought to myself if it is that easy to make some money singing I am in the wrong career feild!

We just saw those two actors in the role on Broadway a couple of weeks ago. They're VERY good actors. But she sounds like she's actually trying to imitate Bernadette (despite the accent) and he (although fine in performance) is no Mandy. Ah, well, it was nice to see it live.

I listened to "Color and Light" (original cast) on the way home from work yesterday too. Go figure.
